Knit your own wrap cardigan

If you're feeling ambitious and don't want to spend lots of money on a DKNY Cozy, you can make your own wrap cardigan! It's literally nothing more than a long wrap with sleeves and you can make it any length you want, if you find the DKNY Cozy too long or others too short.

The knitting pattern can be found here:
http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/90135AD.html
It's a free pattern, but you need to sign in to view it.

Once you get the gist of the pattern construction, you don't really need to knit the fabric. Any fabric will do, as long as you cut the pieces according to the pattern and its measurements. So if you're good with knitting, crocheting or sewing, and want to make your own wrap cardigan, this link's for you!

Enjoy!

after reading your post about the DKNY Cozy, i ended up buying one! but i found mine at TJ Maxx in black only -- it was totally random, i wasn't even consciously looking for one when i came across it. and it was 40 bucks! then i went into the DKNY outlet and they had all the colors for 70 bucks. so then i got on in gray!

how do you usually wear the Cozy. i find that it's slightly too short to be comfortable for me to wear it if wrap it around the front and tie it in the back. i like leaving it open and loose and belting it. i tried wearing it where you tie the upper corners and then twist and put it over your head but sometimes you'll be able to see it separate in the front across your chest. i'm not sure how else to describe it!
